Just for reference Adobe offers these sorts of online services too:
Create PDFs online by uploading files to Adobe (not free, but
affordable): http://createpdf.adobe.com/
Convert PDF to text or HTML (free):
http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/access_onlinetools.html
A biz that does this a lot might be willing to pay the fee.

I used pdfonline.com before with great success. You upload the .doc and
they mail you the pdf a few minutes later. And it's free. :)
