This was exactly like my question in which it pertains to data which becomes
extremely static over time in which case does it make sense that your DB is
filling up on your storage vs. having your static files fill up on you.

See, IMO, an ad server would have to save the impressions a row at a
time because of how you want the information queried at the end of the
day.
